Guy S. DiMartino, DC, JD lectures at Florida Chiropractic Physicians Association Convention in Orlando.
On February 22-24, 2012, I was honored to provide 5 hours of continuing education to chiropractors from Florida and other states at the Florida Chiropractic Physicians Association convention at the International Palms in Orlando. The convention was well attended with over 500 chiropractors. Florida chiropractors are required to have 40 continuing education every two years with required courses in documentation, laws & rules, risk management and medical errors. I lectured on laws & rules in the disciplinary process, risk management and the neurological basis of proving permanency in the soft tissue injury case. The photo is from the neurological basis lecture and if you look on the screen, you will see two nerve cells attached by an axon.
The fact is that many folks who are injured in automobile accidents do not get fully compensated for their injuries because the debate between insurance companies and lawyers is disc injury or herniation versus no disc injury. Many healthcare providers and lawyers are not adequately documenting and explaining why a lot of patients/clients without a frank disc herniation suffer with permanent neck problems.
If you have any questions about these issues, you can always give me a call directly on my cell phone at 352-267-9168 or fill out the internet consultation form on the right hand side of the screen.
